Washington DC Hema Open

Last month, I took part in a fantastic event known as the Washington DC Hema Open.  It is a tournament for Historical European Martial Arts.  And while I was not 100% satisfied with how I performed due to nerves or getting up at 5 in the morning to do a 4 hour drive on a Saturday only to fight one hour after arriving or I am just not that good.  🙂  Either way, it was a lot of fun and I have video I’d like to share.  I am in the yellow and blue socks and yes I fall on my bottom hilariously.

I ranked around 28 or so of the 80ish competitors that were there.  I am very happy with that result.  Unfortunately, my training has been slightly derailed do to in my last fight tearing a muscle in my shoulder which is healing nicely.  The fighting that you see here, the quick, gritty, technical battles are what I continue to strive for in my writing and is the primary reason (other than being a blast) that I do this.  I hope it shows, because I am currently hard at work re-writing the third part of Eryn’s Tale for the fourth time and will hopefully have it to the editor by the end of February.  I am also hoping to have it ready for release by the end of Spring.

Remember all, if you have read my books, thank you thank you thank you, and I would ask if you would be so kind to leave a review on Amazon.  Reviews go a huge way to helping the books get out there.

Soon, I will be putting Out of the Ice out there for a limited time for Free!  The goal here is to get people reading it so that they will provide some reviews of the book.

Again, thanks for reading and thank you for your support you are all awesome.  Enjoy watching me fall on my butt in the videos.
